Admission Process

Appointment for a Tour/Visit

This is the first step in our admission process. We invite you to visit the school, our classrooms, and learn more about the Montessori Method. This meeting is typically about 30 minutes long.

Application

After visiting the school, you may fill out an application form along with the one time application fee in order to be considered for enrollment.  Applications are accepted year round and should be mailed directly to the school or hand delivered.  Applications for new students are considered in accordance with the date received.

Child Visit

During this time, your child visits one of our classrooms.  This is an opportunity for you to ask more specific questions about the school, its programs, the staff and the Montessori philosophy. It is also an opportunity for us to get to know your child and determine his or her readiness for school.

Enrollment Decision

We offer priority scheduling for returning families for the upcoming school year in late winter.  In the spring, after assessing the number of openings available in our programs, we will make decisions on enrollment for the following school year. At this time, you will find out if we are able to accommodate your desired schedule.

Rolling Admissions

Throughout the school year, Longmeadow Montessori accepts children as they age into the program based on availability of the requested schedule and their readiness for school.
